What is the KEY to WEALTH?

What is the KEY to WEALTH?

It’s funny when we think “If I just had more money then I’d be (fill in the blank. . ., happy, successful, without trials, comfortable, etc.). As I said in part 1, that is completely wrong.

Money is literally a RESULT. But more on that in part 3.

Where does one start in learning about money, how to make it and keep it?

You don’t start with hard work. You don’t start with finding a job. You don’t start with saving.

You start in your mind with your beliefs and how you view money.

What is the real key and underlying factor when it comes to making and keeping money?

Your beliefs about money and wealth are the key!

If you don’t think or believe (consciously or subconsciously) that money is important do you think you’ll ever have a lot?

If you think or believe (consciously or subconsciously) that having lots of money is NOT for you, do you think you’ll ever have a lot?

If you think or believe (consciously or subconsciously) that having lots of money is only for other people, will you ever do the things that allow you to have it?

If you think or believe (consciously or subconsciously) being rich is greedy, selfish and prideful, will you ever strive to make a lot and keep a lot?

If you think or believe (consciously or subconsciously) that being poor and broke is a sign of humility in God’s eyes do you think you’ll ever be rich?

The answers are obvious.

Clearly as human beings we are hard wired for happiness meaning we will always do things that fall in line with our beliefs to help us find happiness and avoid pain.

If you believe going to church is right then you go. If you believe drinking alcohol is not right then you don’t drink.

You also spend your time, energy and attention with that which is important to you. If your family is important to you you spend time with them. If your relationship with someone is important to you you invest time and energy with that persons. If being entertained is more important than work, obviously you spend time being entertained rather than creating value for other people.

If we subcsonsciously and consciously believe money is bad or we shouldn’t have it or that it is NOT for us, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO THINGS TO GET MORE OF IT? We won’t.  And if we somehow make a lot of it, we’ll find a way to get rid of it because it doesn’t align with our subconscious and conscious beliefs.

Your beliefs are crucial in obtaining wealth. Even if you make a lot of (six, seven and eight figures) money and still have ridiculous and false beliefs about money you’ll find a way to get rid of it or lose it all. Usually people who master the beliefs and utilize useful beliefs about wealth and money have an abundance of it because they understand exactly what it is, how to get it, how to keep it, how to utilize it properly and why.

Are your beliefs about money and wealth helping you to be financially free or causing you to live a financially poor life?

Does God require a poor people? Is it necessary to be poor to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven?

So how do you change your ingrained beliefs and actually start making and keeping money?

Stay tuned. . .

Is Money Your Problem? Lack of it or too much?

Is Money Your Problem? Lack of it or too much? What is the REAL PROBLEM?

I used to think if I had more money everything would be just fine. I couldn’t have been more deceived and wrong.

I was a college student receiving a scholarship check each month. I was even living at home too so I had no rent and no car payment to make. By the time the middle of the month came I was nearly broke.  This went on for years. When I went to the NFL I could literally add two and three zeroes to my college check.

What happened to me? You guessed it. I was still broke. Why would I be broke after making a substantially larger and enormous amount of cash?

Because Making Money and Managing/Keeping Money are two completely different ball games. In fact, they are in two different solar systems.

I was broke and living at home with my mom and dad once again at the age of 26 after college and after the NFL. Fortunately I picked up a book that changed everything. It took me less than 3 days to finish it.

Fast forward two years and I was now eclipsing the six-figure mark before the summer. This time around I was a little smarter and a little wiser.

Why do lottery winners usually end up worse off? Why do professional athletes who make all this money end up living like they never had it? I hear people all the time say “If I had that money I’d never do what he does.” People who say and think things like this are completely deceived. What are you doing with the money you have now? Having more of it only enhances whatever problems you have right now.

Well, fast forward a  few more years after making a nice hefty six figure income and once again I hadn’t quite learned all I needed to learn about money. When you think you’ve learned it all you’ll fail again and again until you realize that you don’t ever ‘know’ it all.

How in the world does someone make over $309,000 in a year and still be absolutely broke?

To be continued. . . .
