Are you scared to set GOALS?
There is no shortage of books and programs out there on how to set and accomplish goals.
Is there only one way to do it? NO. Because everyone is so different and brings such a dynamic difference to this world, there are numerous ways to achieve goals, accomplish dreams and become the greatest version of you.
I’m a huge advocate of setting and achieving goals. Without the ‘end in mind’ we as humans take the easier way out of obstacles, challenges and difficult things. In other words without a big WHY, its easy to take the path of least resistance.
I’ve graduated from high school and college, spent two years in a third world country serving a mission for my church, played in the NFL, won a Super Bowl Ring with the New England Patriots, accomplished many of my financial goals, obtained 4 of my dream cars, lived in 2 dream homes and have recently written a book. I am happily married to the love of my life and we have two beautiful sons. I have experienced much success early in my life. I’ve also experienced much failure which I view and welcome as my stepping stones and lessons.
Here’s how I have done it. Again, what I have done might not work for you but then again it might. You never know until you take action and give it a shot.
It’s your responsibility to take ACTION!
1. Figure out exactly what you want and desire. More money, a new car, to graduate from college, get married etc. and WRITE IT DOWN. Read it daily. Let it be on your mind 24/7. If you don’t believe it’s possible, you have major issues to solve and that will be for another time.
2. Commit to it. Once you write it down COMMIT to it! If you don’t COMMIT to it, you’ll NEVER accomplish it. Success and achievement are not by chance or accident. “When a Creator Commits to something, it’s over said and done!” Commitment is required for any success.

99.9% commitment means failure. Are you 100% Committed to the intention?
3. Create a Plan of ACTION. If your goal is to lose x amount of lbs or body fat, what’s the specific plan of action? Write it down. Eat this x times per day, don’t eat this. Drink x amount of water per day, exercise x amount of times per week, hire a nutritionist etc. This is the PLAN to obtain it.
4. Don’t be scared to tell people about. Blog about it. Tell your friends, your spouse and those close to you. They will be your encouragers, supporters and cheerleaders. If you’re scared to tell people what your goals are, then you are scared that you might not accomplish it. Tell people who you TRUST and ADMIRE so you aren’t casting pearls before swine.
5. Make course corrections and press forward. You will have days where you doubt yourself. MOVE FORWARD. You will have days where you don’t feel like DOING anything..MOVE FORWARD. You will have days that you don’t accomplish anything…MOVE FORWARD. Course corrections allow you to evaluate your current plan and make adjustments.
6. NEVER QUIT. If you quit, you lose. If you keep going and persisting, the opportunities to learn and grow and discover are endless and infinite.

Become the type of person who doesn't quit or give up.
7. Surround yourself with greatness. Great books, great movies, great music, great supporters etc. Stay inspired. Get in the mood of what it will feel like once you have accomplished it as if you have done it already. The vibration that you are in will surely help bring it to you or repel it.
8. Take it to the Lord. God can do so much with our lives than we can by ourselves. Get in tune with Deity. Trust in Him. Whether you believe in God, or any other supreme being He is there and He is the God of the Universe. Surely he can guide you and inspire you and help make the proper course corrections.
9. Make sure you have the right tools and knowledge to accomplish this. If you were building a house and only have a couple of spoons and a hammer, you might be able to get it done….eventually. But with the right tools, the house can be built swiftly, safely and a lot sooner than later. Tools, systems, knowledge and skills are all crucial to obtaining your desired goal.
10. Stop, step back and CELEBRATE any notable accomplishments. Enjoy the journey. Success is in the journey. I have a Super Bowl ring that means so much to me because I EARNED IT. If it was given to me without work, it would mean very little. Enjoy the daily successes. Celebrate milestones and accomplishments. Celebrate Daily!
A person without a goal is like a ship without a destination. It will be at the mercy of the elements, the circumstance and situation. A person with a goal is like a ship with a destination who will persist, steer, sail and move in accordance so every action, movement and direction is towards the goal.
Do Work and by the way…YES YOU CAN!
